Tim Tebow just learned the hard way that pro football is a cold hearted business. Just a couple months after leading the Denver Broncos to the playoffs the quarterback has been traded to the New York Jets.

Tebow became expendable after the Broncos signed free agent QB Peyton Manning to a 5-year $96 million deal.

To acquire Tebow the Jets will send two draft picks, a fourth and sixth rounder in next month's draft. Tebow was a former first round pick when he entered the NFL out of the University of Florida in 2010.

It's unlikely Tebow will get a chance to start for the Jets unless their starting quarterback Mark Sanchez gets injured. Sanchez recently signed a contract extension for three more years, leaving five years left on his $58.25 million deal.
