Toronto Star Reports Assault charges were withdrawn Wednesday morning against the manager for the Black Eyed Peas after he apologized for punching celebrity blogger Perez Hilton in Toronto last June. Liborio Molina was charged after a June 22 incident at the Cobra nightclub on King St. W.

Assault charges have been dropped against Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio (Polo) Molina, after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was struck following the Much Music Video Awards earlier this year The Crown withdrew the charge this morning after Molina signed a peace bond agreeing to have no contact or communication with Hilton, stay at least 100 metres away from the Cobra club and to not carry weapons. Molina paid a $500 deposit to guarantee the bond and donated another $500 to Toronto's Red Door shelter for women.

He also wrote an apology to Hilton, in which he acknowledged that "physical violence is not the way to deal with" disputes. The Crown told the court that Hilton was not happy because the letter of apology was not good enough remedy, but the judge accepted it. Molina declined further comment after the quick court appearance — his first in this case — at Old City Hall. Looking content, he said only that "everything has been said." Hilton has also filed a $25,000 civil suit against Molina, which alleges the manager was upset with his critical comments about the Peas' new album The E.N.D.
