Video After The Jump11-time World Boxing Champion, James Toney is about to take on UFC legend, Randy Couture in his mixed martial arts debut at UFC 118 on August 28.
During a press conference for the fight, the subject of Evander Holyfield was brought up. Holyfield said recently that Toney was making a mistake by venturing into the world of MMA.
Toney wasn't happy about that, and had a message for Evander:
"If you talk to Holyfield again, tell him to stop beating his wife.....stop and come see me. And by the way, I know he's fighting in Detroit, which is my hometown in November. Strange things can happen to you when you're in my town."
When a reporter said that sounded like a threat, Tony didn't back down.
"I don't care what it sounds like."
Damn, I guess old grudges die hard. Holyfield was beaten by Toney in their 2003 fight.
