During a recent heated confrontation at Antonio Brown's Hollywood, Florida home with his baby mama, Chelsie Kyriss, the cops were called. When they arrived Brown told them that Kyriss had tried to steal one of his Bentleys.
Kyriss had previously been evicted from the home and was only there to pick up their kids for school, Brown said.
Brown raised his voice, used profanity and wasn't willing to listen to police as they tried to deescalate the situation.
The police department subsequently informed Brown he was no longer welcome as a donor and volunteer for the Police Athletic League.
“We made the decision to sever ties between Mr. Brown and the Hollywood Police Athletic League,” public information officer Christian Lata said in a statement. “We did not want our youth to be subject to this type of behavior nor emulate the actions of Mr. Brown.”
On Friday, the NFL free agent issued an apology via Instagram.
"To everyone who I may have offended or Disrespected at the @hollywoodflpd Of the state of Florida, I would like to sincerely give you all my apology from the top and bottom of my heart," he wrote. "And as a human being and an professional athlete I can honestly say that my emotions truly did cloud my better Judgment, When you all were only there to help me. Thanks to you all who sincerely accept my Sincere apology. And we must all know that God is a Forgiving God. P.S The “PAL”Youth League, I’m looking to working with you all again in the near future."
