Multifaceted actor, rapper and business mogul, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, has landed a role in the upcoming crime thriller Den of Thieves.
Deadline reports that Gerard Butler stars in the lead role of the film that is described as “a Los Angeles crime saga in the vein of Heat." It's scheduled to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia on January 9.
Christian Gudegast, who co-wrote the original screenplay with Paul Sheuring, will sit in the director's chair.
Plot via Deadline: Den of Thieves follows the intersecting and often personally connected lives of an elite unit of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and the state’s most successful bank robbery crew as they plan a seemingly impossible heist on the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles. Jackson, whose film credits include Spy and Southpaw, will play the character Enson, who is part of the gang of what will be an ensemble cast of characters. Butler plays a corrupt cop named ‘Big Nick’ Flanagan.
