50 Cent recently sat down with Revolt TV to discuss becoming an independent artist and explains why the transition is an easy one for him.
"The idea of becoming independent, it had already been there for a while," 50 said. "The first song off of every project that I've launched, I've launched myself. Wanksta took off before you heard In Da Club. But I had to release work, put out mixtapes and release the music. It's the same format that they're using right now 'cause they've been following my model since."
The music icon will drop his forthcoming album Animal Ambition on June 3. A new song and music video from the project will be released every Tuesday leading up to it.
