Two of Suge Knight's former lawyers have been for alleged witness tampering in his murder case.
Knight is currently jailed in Los Angeles while awaiting trial. He's accused of a 2015 hit-and-run incident in Compton that resulted in the death of Terry Carter and injured Cle "Bone" Sloan.
The hit-and-run stemmed from an argument Knight allegedly had on the set of the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton" and then spilled over to the parking lot of Tam's Burgers.
The Los Angeles Times reports that attorneys Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper are currently in police custody after being picked up Thursday, January 25. They're facing felony charges of of acting as accessories after the fact.
Prosecutors contend that while the two were employed by Knight they tried to pay an informant to say that he witnessed the hit-and-run, and to give testimony favorable to Knight.
In addition, the two are accused of trying to bribe witnesses at Tam's to say they saw the victims and others in possession of handguns. A key argument in Knight's defense.
Culpepper and Fletcher are being held in a Los Angeles lieu of $1 million bail.
