12348752482?profile=originalKeyshia Cole is shaking things up within her inner circle, hoping to give her career a boost.

The 29-year old singer has fired her longtime manager, Manny Halley. The move, though unexpected possibly stems from the poor performance of her latest cd "Calling All Hearts", which has moved 139,000 copies in it's first four weeks compared to her last album "A Different Me", which moved 539,000 copies during the same time span.

Cole informed her fans on the news via Twitter.

"Would like for u guys to know that Manny Halley is no longer my management."

Keyshia has to shoulder some of the blame for her album's low numbers. Back in October she went against her labels wishes and released "I Aint Through" featuring Nicki Minaj as her first single. The song is a departure from the soulful ballads fans are used to hearing from the singer, and it peaked at No. 58 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart.

The label didn’t really want to drop the record because they knew … that people wanted a more intense, soulful record from me about love and I really should have followed (their) direction,” she said. “But I wanted that to be a statement record. It’s like saying, ‘I’m doing me, you know. I don’t have no regrets for nothing that I’m doing.’”

There’s no way to predict how people will respond to things,” said Ron Fair, chairman of Geffen Records. “It’s something that Keyshia really wanted to say.”

Geffen has released "Take Me Away" as Cole's latest single, which she performed on Conan O'Brien earlier this week.
