Back in January we reported on a story about blogger Donovan Strain of Murk Avenue's attempt to decipher the exact date Ice Cube rapped about in his classic song "It Was A Good Day."

Strain used six clues centered around the song's lyrics and came up with January 20, 1992 as the date.

Mike Ryan of The Huffington Post caught up with Cube recently to find out if that date was accurate.

Huffington Post: Someone spent a lot of time trying to figure out your good day from "It Was a Good Day."
Ice Cube: Yeah, I heard about that one. Yeah.

Through your publicist, you responded, "Nice try."
Yeah.

"Nice try," you got it right? Or "Nice try," but not even close?
"Nice try" on even trying to dissect that.

The original research shows that it's Jan 20, 1992. Someone else thinks it's Nov 30, 1988.
I think I had a good day on both of those days. You know.

Is this your Carly Simon, "You're So Vain," song? That you'll never admit when it was? Then you'll auction the answer off some day to one guy who, under contract, can't reveal the day?
Nah. You know -- it's a song. It's a fictional song. It's basically my interpretation of what a great day would be. Do you know what I'm saying? So, you know, it's a little of this and a little of that. I don't think you can pinpoint the day.

So you're saying it's a collection of good things from multiple days?
It could have been all of those days.

So it's a conglomerate of your perfect day?
Yes.

So there you have it, but shouts out to Donovan for even trying to figure it out in the first place.

The singer's new album entitled "Two Eleven" is set to drop in June 2012. The title of the disc represents her birth date, February 11th.

“It’s just gonna be a different album, but of course expressing the love that I feel now and the struggles and different situations that I’ve gone through in the past,” Brandy told Rap-Up TV. “My music always tends to be the soundtrack to my life and definitely inspired by what I see other people go through as well—gritty, edgy, different.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is undefeated at 42-0 with 26 of those fights ending by knockout. During a recent press conference for his upcoming championship fight with Miguel Cotto he talked about his knockout record.

"I'm just trying to give the fans what they wanna see," Floyd said. "There's been a few times where I gave them a couple of dull fights...things happen. But out of 42 [fights], 90% of the time they got what they wanted to see. And everytime I went out in all 42 fights I was looking for the knockout. But you got fighters that's comfortable after they see that they don't have a chance of winning then they go into survival mode just to to tell the world, 'I fought Floyd Mayweather, he didn't knock me out...I went the distance.'"

Floyd added that if any fighter steps up to the plate and wants to fight and not just survive he will probably end up on his back.

"Now [Victor] Ortiz he came looking for the knockout and got knocked out," Floyd added. "So every time you got a fighter that comes for the knockout, he's gonna get knocked out. But if you got a guy that comes just to say he was in the ring with Floyd Mayweather then the fight's gonna go he distance because he's in there just to try to survive."

Mayweather was then asked what it feels like to K.O. someone.

"You know, after you been there so many times it's normal because I've been doing it for so long," he said.

With all that being said Floyd's May 5th fight in Las Vegas vs Cotto should be a great one. Cotto is 37-2, with 30 knockouts. He never dodges an opponent and always looks to finish.

Former Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams player Marshall Faulk appears to be having difficult financial times.

TMZ is reporting that the Hall of Famer's Florida apartment is about to foreclosed on by PNC Bank. Faulk took out a loan of $112,300 for the Pompano Beach apartment in September 2011, but hasn't paid a cent of it back according to a lawsuit PNC filed last week in Broward County.

Faulk, who currently works for the NFL Network wouldn't be alone if he is having trouble paying his bills. Sports Illustrated reports that 78% of all former NFL players have either gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce within two years of leaving the league.

Faulk's last year in the league was 2006.

It seems the bad blood between Diddy and former protege Shyne has been put to rest. The two snapped photos together during Paris Fashion Week.

"Me and Shyne Po front row at Kenzo," Diddy tweeted

Video After The Jump

Police in Tempe, Arizona have updated the number of people wounded by gunfire outside of a Nipsey Hussle concert to 14. They also say the shooting involved rival gangs.

"We're very fortunate that no one was killed,” Lt. Mike Horn told 3TV News

As we previously reported, Nipsey was supposedly scheduled to perform Friday [March 2] at The Clubhouse. At around midnight gunfire rang out leaving those 14 people shot, 2 are still listed in serious condition.

Police initially thought there were two shooters, but after the arrest of one individual they now say there were a total of three people firing weapons.

The suspect behind bars is facing 14 counts of aggravated assault and one count of assisting a criminal street gang.

Nipsey released a statement regarding the incident on Saturday and denied that he was scheduled to perform at the venue. It's uncertain how his name got caught up in all of this, but you can read his statement below.

My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the victims and their families who were affected by the tragic event that took place last night in Arizona, and I pray for the speedy recovery for anyone involved.

Contrary to current media reports, it’s important note that these shootings did NOT happen inside a venue, concert, or show in which I was booked to perform, and at the time of the incident, I was in my hotel room.

I grew up on the streets of south central Los Angeles and have witnessed many tragedies in my lifetime.  I never glorify any situation like this and think it is disgusting.  Any fan of my music knows that I strongly oppose gun violence, and that I represent nothing but peace and progress through hard work… that anyone can overcome adversity no matter what your social status in life, which is clearly addressed on my latest release, “The Marathon Continues.”

Many people will wrongfully attribute this incident to the hip-hop culture, which is purely and simply false. The alleged shooters were not ticket holders for my performance. Regardless, this incident is a tragic reminder of the circumstances that face our community every day, and my heart and prayers go out to the victims of this, and all the other senseless acts of violence occurring every day in our communities.

- Nipsey

The Tupac Shakur musical is officially a go.

As we previously reported, producer Kenny Leon planned on bringing the show to Broadway, but he wanted the approval of Tupac's mom, Afeni Shaukur first.

TMZ is reporting that after hearing about the show Afeni gave the thumbs up and is "ecstatic" about it.

"Holler If You Hear Me" is inspired by Tupac's music and is a fictional story about two childhood friends in a Midwestern industrial city and their extended families.

Casting for the show begins next week

Rihanna stopped by the Jonathan Ross Show for a chat and performance while in the UK recently.

During the interview segment Riri discussed the competition that exists between female artists like herself, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Adele and Beyonce.

"It'll always be a competition," Riri said. "And that's why I feel like women are becoming so dominant in music right now because we're very competitive beings. And we cannot stand to see another woman do better than us. That bothers us a lot. As much as you [men] have egos, our egos are a little bigger. We're just a lot better at hiding them."

Check out the rest of the interview below as Rihanna talks about being sexual during her live performances, being single, getting more into acting and watch her live performance of "Talk That Talk."

2 gunmen opened fire outside of a nightclub in Tempe, Arizona Friday [March 2] moments before West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle was scheduled to perform. 13 people were wounded. 2 of them hospitalized in serious condition.

"It just came in spurts...pop, pop, pop, pop," one witness said of the gunfire. "Then you see everybody running - a couple more shots - everybody running. It was pure chaos. I would never come to The Clubhouse again. This aint what I wanted to spend my Friday doing. Dodging bullets, or recording somebody else on the ground getting shot waiting on the ambulance to get there."

Police say they aren't sure what set the gunmen off. Sgt. Steve Carbajal told AZFamily.com that it may have been caused by "some sort of altercation."

They are looking for two young black males seen running away from the shopping plaza where the concert venue, The Clubhouse is located.

Nipsey tweeted about the incident several hours after it went down
