If there was ever any doubt as to how popular DJ Pauly D is it was put to rest last night.
The Jersey Shore star who is also signed to G-Note Records was mobbed by hundreds of fans at a gig in South Padre Island, Texas and extra security had to be called in according to TMZ.
Pauly was DJ-ing on a stage that was supposed to have three feet of room separating it from the crowd. But thirsty fans at Louie’s Backyard didn't let that happen as you can see in the pic above. Some fans even tried to climb on the stage.
Things got so hectic that when it was time for Pauly to leave he had to be escorted out by 15 members of security and cops, and even then his shirt was ripped by fans.
Luckily he made it out of there safely.

Bangladesh and Cash Money Records have set aside their past differences and are doing business together once again.
Many of you may remember Bangladesh as the producer who said he was never paid for producing Lil Wayne's "A Milli." That dispute simmered for quite a while, but Bang recently told MTV that he has signed a production deal with Birdman and Slim.
"We just did some nice business together. They just bought a whole bunch of tracks, that's about it," Bang said. "They gave me a song deal, basically, first song deal I ever had, so shouts out to Cash Money. Everybody respects each other, and real recognizes real. At the end of the day, the work is solid, so everybody wants to be in business with each other. Our issues, we resolved the issues, so it was time to move on past that and do other business. It's a big step, because it went from negative to positive, so you could show people that you can always work things out."
