Video After The Jump

The Insane Clown Posse are taking on the federal government in a case that should be very interesting. The suit against the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation was filed Wednesday (January 8) in the Federal District Court of Detroit by the band's attorneys and for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. The suit claims that the U.S. government had made the “unwarranted and unlawful decision” to classify their fans, known as Juggalos as gang members. At the heart of the suit is a 2011 report by the FBI that says the fans are a "loosely organized hybrid gang."

The inference is that the fans are violent and often break the law.

Juggalos

Four fans have also joined the lawsuit, according to The Guardian.

The four fans said in the complaint that they had been subject to police harrassment or punishment because of their association with the band. Mark Parsons, from Nevada, said he was detained by Tennessee state troopers for displaying an ICP insignia on his truck. Scott Gandy, from North Carolina, said he had spent hundreds of dollars having Juggalo tattoos covered with other tattoos after being told he could not join the army with "gang-related" body art.

Group members Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J want the FBI to retract the gang affiliation label, They believe the FBI report is a violation of their rights and constitutional right to associate with whoever they please.

Shaggy 2 Dope issued the following statement during a press conference.

"It is wrong to designate the entire group of supporters as a criminal gang based on the acts of a few. We're not a gang. We're a family."

You may remember ICP for their long running beef with fellow Michigan rapper Eminem. Slim frequently made fun of the group with his "Ken Kaniff" skits on his albums. The beef has since been squashed.

Video After The Jump

The highly anticipated N.W.A. biopic will be coming to the theater screen near you very soon. The film will tell the story of Ice Cube, DJ Yella, MC Ren and Dr. Dre, who together helped to pioneer the gangster rap genre of music and put the West Coast on the map. It will be directed by F. Gary Grey

Cube recently sat down with MTV's Sophie Schillaci to talk about how the project is coming along.

"We're putting it together. We got a great director, F. Gary Grey, great producers. We're just trying to tell the story of the world's most dangerous group," Cube said. "We're trying to tell aspects of our lives that people don't know about. People aren't privy to."

12350552252?profile=original

Cube says the group was greatly influenced by their environment.

"The neighborhood influenced N.W.A., and then N.W.A. influenced the neighborhood. That's what we're trying to portray." he continued."

12350552662?profile=original

Cube added that the script is being finalized, all of the rights have been secured and casting will began on January 8th.

icecube.jpg

Cube has mentioned in past interviews that he would like his son, O'Shea Jackson II, to portray him in the film. MTV also has some casting suggestions. Check them out below.

Dr. Dre
drdre.jpg
If Michael B. Jordan has proved anything since his TV days, with memorable roles in "The Wire," "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood," it's that the guy's got range. After a critically acclaimed turn in "Fruitvale Station" last year, Jordan will next star opposite Zac Efron in a rom-com for those Y-chromosomes, "That Awkward Moment," in early 2014. We have no doubt that the 22-year-old could disappear in any role that came his way, and we'd love to see his take on the young doctor who would go on to create a veritable hip-hop empire.

Eazy-E
eazye.jpg
A$AP Rocky knows his way around a microphone, but can he act? We think the 25-year-old rapper would be a perfect fit to play the late Eazy-E (that smirk... hello!) even without an acting credit to his name. But much like Ice Cube, there have been rumors that Eazy-E's son, the aptly named Lil' Eazy-E, could take a step into his dad's shoes for the part.

DJ Yella
djyella.jpg
A frequent collaborator with EP Packer, Michael Ealy seems a natural fit for the role of DJ Yella. Given the amount of time that Yella and Dre spent together producing for the World Class Wreckin' Crew, the D.O.C. and N.W.A., we figure there will be a lot of one-on-one time between the two characters. If we get our wish and Michael B. Jordan does indeed get the Dre role, that mean he and Ealy can make some unforgettable scenes playing off of each other.

MC Ren
mcren.jpg
Chadwick Boseman may not be available (the "42" actor is currently shooting Tate Taylor's James Brown biopic "Get On Up," playing funk legend himself), but we'd love to watch him take on The Villain in Black. The actor is no stranger to biopics, obviously, and when he's not flashing those pearly whites, he's got that stoic stare down to a T.

Arabian Prince
rick.jpg
We can't deny the resemblance between Rick Gonzalez and Arabian Prince, but it doesn't hurt that the "Coach Carter" and "Reaper" alum already has hip-hop running through his veins. After years of struggling to come up in the music industry, the actor just last year signed a deal with Prodigy's Infamous Records.

Young Snoop
snoop.jpg
We have no idea whether young Snoop's collaborations with Dre will feature in the film, but if we are graced with the Dogg's presence, Nipsey Hussle is undoubtedly the man to bring it. Done and done.

Suge Knight
suge.jpg
The key to casting this ex-NFL player is not necessarily the acting chops, but the size. Take, for example, New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork. The 32-year-old is large — 6'2 and 325 pounds — with a bald head and an impressive beard. Need we say more?

Jerry Heller
jerry.jpg
A brilliant businessman, loved and hated at various points in his career, Sir Ian McKellen has the chops and the believability to bring Jerry Heller to the silver screen. (Though he may not be able to relate to the "hated" part of our sentiment.) McKellen and Heller may only be one year apart in age, but hey, that's what they pay the makeup team for.

Michel'le
michele.jpg
Mixing business with pleasure? No problem for "Love & Hip-Hop" star Amina Buddafly, whom we'd like to picture playing Eazy-E's R&B artist (and Dre's baby mama) Michel'le. Plus, with Michel'le currently starring on "R&B Divas: Los Angeles," the ladies have reality TV drama to bond over.

What do you think of the casting suggestions? Feel free to add your own and tell us why you made your choices.

Young Jeezy is defending himself against claims that he beat up and threatened to kill his son. As we previously reported, Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, was arrested and charged with battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats.

A source close to Jeezy told TMZ that he and his 17-year old son Jarius did get into a heated argument. At one point he pushed his son to the ground when he got in his face, but at no point did he threaten to kill him or beat him up.

The source said the argument started because Jeezy told Jarius he didn't like his attitude and didn't want him living in his house anymore.

12350555883?profile=original

Jarius' mother, Tenesha Dykes, is allegedly brainwashing her son in an effort to get more money from The Snowman.

The incident happened in September 2012, but for some reason the CTE World CEO wasn't arrested until Friday (January 3, 2014). Jeezy is free after posting $45,000 bond.

Video After The Jump

The Omaha Police Association is being accused of race baiting after posting a video on it's website showing an African American toddler cursing, giving the middle finger and talking about gangs.

The clip was shot by some parents who don't seem to have any idea how to appropriately raise a child. At least three adults can be heard encouraging the toddler to misbehave by calling him a b*tch, talking to him about sex and asking him "what hood you from blood?"

12350558880?profile=original

The video was originally posted on Facebook by the child's uncle. The Omaha police were alerted to it by a citizen who was appalled by it.

In a post entitled "The Thug Cycle Continuing," the police explained that the video might make some people upset.

We here at OmahaPOA.com viewed the video and we knew that despite the fact that it is sickening, heartbreaking footage, we have an obligation to share it to continue to educate the law abiding public about the terrible cycle of violence and thuggery that some young innocent children find themselves helplessly trapped in.

12350559262?profile=original

Critics are attacking the Omaha police for posting the video on the net. Watch the video below and let us know who you think is wrong here. The police for posting the video or the adults who made it.

Police under fire for baby "thug" video

**UPDATE** January 9

There are a lot of new developments to report in this case. The 2-year old boy in the video has been taken in by child protective services, along with his 16-year old mother, a 12-year old and another toddler. A 15-year old boy would be with them, but he's being held in juvenile detention for a gun charge.

12350559665?profile=original

The 12, 15 and 16-year olds are the children of Kim Devers and Ennis Devers Sr. The 2 toddlers are their grandchildren. Kim also has a 19-year old daughter, Kierra Johnson, from a previous relationship.

Kim is currently in police custody awaiting trial on gun charges from December 2013. Ennis is in prison on gun and drug charges.

All of the youths were left in the care of Johnson when her mother was arrested.

The state has been watching the troubled family since August 2013. KETV is reporting that 4 people in the home, including the toddler seen in the video, were injured when a man approached the front door in October 2013, and began shooting.

The 16-year old mother was shot in the shoulder, her son was hit in the foot by shrapnel. There is no information on where the other 2 people were shot, but everyone survived.

2 days before the Facebook video was posted Johnson went to a caseworker to get help because she said she was having problems with the relative who posted the video.

Because of that and the ongoing threat of gang activity in the home the state finally moved in and took the children into protective custody, including Johnson's child.

Young Jeezy is facing several charges for allegedly assaulting his own son. According to TMZ, Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, and his kid got into a physical altercation in September 2012.

The rapper's son told police the fight started in the bathroom. Jeezy allegedly threw him through a glass glass shower door, beat him up, dragged him into a bedroom and continued to assault him.

TMZ obtained the incident report. In it are allegations that the CTE World CEO threatened to kill his son.

"I will kill you," Jeezy said."I will put a bullet in your head right now. If I could get away with it, I would kill you."

The son tried to escape by running downstairs, but was blocked by a bodyguard.

Jeezy turned himself in on Friday (January 3). He's been charged with battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats.

12348943694?profile=original

His attorney released a statement to TMZ saying he expected the matter to be cleared up.

"We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."

Macklemore lands on the cover of The Source magazine's fourth annual Man of the Year issue. He talks to publication about the upcoming Grammy Awards, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and his success.

12350561675?profile=original

What if you win the Grammy for Best Rap Album and Kanye spazzes and says it should have gone to someone else?

Then he’s got a point. [In the Best Rap Album category], we’re up against Kendrick, who made a phenomenal album. If we win a Grammy for Best Rap Album, Hip-Hop is going to be heated. In terms of [that category], I think it should go to Kendrick. He’s family. TDE is family, and I understand why Hip-Hop would feel like Kendrick got robbed [if he didn’t win]. I’m not trying to compare albums; I think you can make an argument for both. With that being said, I am a huge supporter of what Kendrick does. And because of that, I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album.

That’s interesting because you consider yourself a Hip-Hop artist who came out of the underground scene. Actually, you were an Unsigned Hype artist right here in The Source. Do you feel like all the mainstream success has affected your Hip-Hop credibility?

People are going to be skeptical. I’m a white dude from Seattle. People are rightfully skeptical of white people making Hip-Hop. They’re gonna say, “Let me hear him rap. Let me hear an interview.” Before we sold a million copies of the album, when it was just “Thrift Shop,” before it became massive, they were putting us in a box. The song almost got too big. People weren’t able to see the rest of the album for what it was. They put us in the one-hit wonder box. And they didn’t give the rest of the project room to live. People didn’t do their research. If you strip away the Kidz Bop remake and it getting played on every radio station, the very core of “Thrift Shop” is a Hip-Hop song. I’m rapping. I’m rapping, well. I’m spitting. The one-bar loop. The 808s. It was one of the more Hip-Hop-sounding songs on the album. It turned into something so big that the origin almost got lost. And because of that, it distracted people from the album and the content that was there.

Video After The Jump

DMX is currently overseas touring. During as stop in Bulgaria he was interviewed by 359HipHop.com. Things started out smoothly with X talking about how well the tour is going, thanking God for helping to get his passport after being prevented from leaving the U.S. because of a child support debt.

As the questions began to veer towards Dark Man's trouble with the law, the current state of hip hop and Eminem's "Rap God" song he became aggravated.

You're a free man, you're traveling?

I've been a free man. The last few time I got locked up I was locked up for hours at a time. Driving without a license. Who the fuck gets locked up for driving without a license? Me, because I'm famous. Police suck dick that's what the fuck they do. They suck dick. I'm not a criminal. I'm not out there committing crimes and shit. I drive my fucking car. I have a car, I drive. You wanna pull me over and lock. me up? Then do what you do homie, but I'll be right back out doing the same fucking thing I was doing eight hours ago. So, fuck you.

12350550875?profile=original

How has the rap game changed in the last ten years?

The quality of rap fucking sucks right now. There are some nice rappers, but for the most part niggas suck. That's what the fuck it is. Take it how you wanna take it. Bring it...what!

12350551690?profile=original

So Eminem released a track which is called "Rap God." He's the rap God now?

I don't know what Eminem is. I know he's a talented artist. We have a good relationship. Don't ask me no random shit to start no random beef, alright. Please don't do that.
