According to TMZ, the 2 singers are in side-by-side cells. Although they can't see each other, they've been passing the time by singing and writing new material. They have knocked out three songs so far. They sing them throughout their long days while other inmates harmonize.

Brown has been in jail since March 14th after violating his probation when he was kicked out of anger management rehab.
DeBarge is in jail on drug charges.
