2020 is starting to buzz in the underground with artists promoting their new year single, album and video releases. One of those artists we are especially looking forward too, is Young Pok, and his January 1st release of the project "Wats My Name?"...and we have had the pleasure of getting an exclusive, pre-release listen.
Young Pok delivers for a way in HipHop that we haven't had the pleasure of hearing the way we'd like to, Lyrically. Bar for bar, his style is original, with delivery catered to the beat. Each line holding the true essence of "ripping the mic," and the content is created by a wordsmith for the listeners ears. Aside from all of that, we enjoyed that the project was filled with street poetry laced with creativity and not half ass-ed lyrics drowned out by hard 808's and over saturated with autotune. Again,...true HipHop.
