The domestic violence case against XXXTentacion has gotten even more serious.
TMZ reports that prosecutors have hit him with eight new felony charges, all different degrees of witness tampering and witness harassment, bringing the total to 15.
The 19-year old rapper, born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was initially charged with domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and false imprisonment.
The new allegations stem from phone calls XXX made in October 2016, when he was initially arrested for allegedly beating his then ex-girlfriend.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say XXX made numerous recorded phone calls while locked up. Evidence gathered from those calls led to the new charges.
Prosecutors believe he tried to coerce his ex into not testifying against him.
Because of this new information, a Miami-Dade County judge sent XXXTentacion to jail during a hearing Friday, December 15, after ruling he had violated his bond.
He's being held without bail and has no phone privileges. If convicted of all charges XXXTentacion faces decades in prison.
