Some people take sports way too damn seriously.
A Springfield, Mass., basketball coach went nuts after his middle school team lost it's championship game Friday and bit off part of the ear of the winning coach.
Police say 34-year-old Timothy Lee Forbes of Springfield attacked the winning coach as the Catholic Youth Organization teams of fifth- and sixth-graders shook hands at the end of the game Friday night at the Holy Name school.
Forbes, an assistant coach had to be pulled off of the winning coach by other people attending the game. He fled the gym, but was later arrested according to NBC Connecticut.
The wounded coach was rushed to a nearby hospital where his ear was reattached. He has since been released.
Forbes' lawyer, Philip Lauro, said his client pleaded not guilty Monday [March 12] and will have a dangerousness hearing Friday, when he'll seek bail according to the Associated Press.
