Usher's 5-year old son is currently in an Atlanta hospital's Intensive Care Unit after nearly drowning in the family pool on Monday (August 5). According to TMZ, Usher Raymond V was in the pool with his aunt when he got stuck in the drain while trying to retrieve a toy.
Both the aunt and a maid were unable to free his hand from the drain. Two audio-visual contractors working in the house heard the maid screaming. Both dove in and freed the child. One of them administered CPR on the boy and was able to revive him.
The child was taken to the hospital, where he is reported to be "conscious, alert and breathing." Usher was not at home at the time of the accident.
Raymond V is the youngest of Usher's two children with ex-wife Tameka Raymond. The singer was granted full custody of them in August 2012, following a bitter divorce.

Yesterday's accident comes just a year after Usher's stepson, 11-year-old Kile Glover, died after being struck in the head by a Jet Ski while in an inner tube on Lake Lanier in Georgia.
Both Usher and Tameka are at the hospital with Raymond V. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
