Prodigy and Universal Music have settled their financial dispute.
P filed a lawsuit against the label in November 2015. He claimed that Mobb Deep signed a deal in 1995 with Universal when it was still BMG.
The deal didn't include his solo work or records he wrote for other artists, yet the label continued to take 50% of those royalties as well to the tune of $57,489, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The lawsuit asked for the $57K plus lawyer fees.
TMZ reports that the two sides have now reached an amicable agreement. Under the terms of the deal Universal Music Publishing Group will pay the rapper $153,751.21.
In return Prodigy must tweet: "My dispute with UMPG was all a misunderstanding. Thankful that we resolved it quickly and happy to be continuing my long-standing relationship with UMPG."
All's well that ends well.
