Troy Ave Formally Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Murder. Rapper's Leg Injuries More Serious Than Originally Reported. Bail Application Hearing Set For July 1 (Video)

Troy Ave was wheeled into a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday, June 22, where he pleaded not guilty to one count of second degree attempted murder and three counts of second degree criminal possession of a weapon.

A grand jury previously indicted Troy for his alleged involvement in a May 25 shooting backstage during a T.I. concert at New York City's Irving Plaza.

As we previously reported, one person was killed and three, including Troy were injured.

Ronald McPhatter, 30, died from a wound to the stomach. Christopher Vinson, 34, is recovering from a chest wound and 26-year old model, Maggie Carrie Heckstall, is recovering following surgery to repair damage from a gunshot to her knee.

Billboard reports that Troy's injuries are more serious than originally thought.

The BSB Records CEO suffered gunshot wounds to both legs, instead of just one.

A bullet entered then exited his right leg, and a bullet entered his left leg and lodged in his knee. The report doesn't specify if the wounds were from the same gunshot.

NYPD detectives initially believed Troy fired all of the gunshots and accidentally injured himself in the process, when surveillance footage emerged showing him firing a weapon inside the venue.

Authorities are now working on the theory that the rapper and his friend McPhatter were shot by someone else prior to the footage.

Troy has been held without bond at Rikers Island since his May 26 arrest. Police have yet to pick up any additional suspects.

A total of three guns, including one that matched ballistics from the scene were found in a hidden compartment of the vehicle that transported Troy to the hospital.

During today's hearing, Assistant District Attorney Christine Keenan, said the "She Belongs to the Game" hit maker would also face charges for the two additional weapons.

Keegan further stated the charges within the current indictment are only for what happened on the Irving Plaza balcony that night. The investigation into what occurred prior in the green room is still ongoing.

A bail application hearing has been set for July 1.

Troy's lawyers Scott Leemon and John Stella are expected to ask for bond, citing their client's clean record.

"He was not responsible for anything in the green room," Stella told reporters after the hearing. "There was a struggle that happened in that green room, and a lot of confusion."
