Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton is currently in serious condition at an Atlanta hospital.
TMZ reports the 48-year old "Un-Break My Heart" crooner is suffering from Lupus complications. Braxton revealed in 2010 that she had been diagnosed with the disease.
According to the Mayo Clinic: "Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs."
Birdman cut short his current tour in order to be by his girlfriend's side. This is at least the second time Braxton has been hospitalized for Lupus-related health issues.
In 2012 she had to be treated at a Los Angeles facility.
Hey guys, I'm in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon...Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo
