T.I. WORKING ON COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ARTIST & NEW COLLABORATION
T.I. & Chris Brown ‘Takers’ to Theaters This May. T.I. and Chris Brown have an action-packed summer ahead of them. Both artists will return to the big screen in Screen Gems’ Takers, which has a new release date. Originally scheduled for February, "Takers" will now hit theaters on May 2010.
New Music: Usher f/ T.I. – "In My Bag" A little time behind bars can’t stop T.I. from appearing on new records. Usher bags Tip for a Scott Storch production from his Raymond vs. Raymond album, now due in 2010. Ursh brags about his VIP status, globe-trotting schedule, and record sales. “Industry’s in the recession, but I’m still spending from Confessions," he boasts.
T.I. and B.o.B ‘Dream Up’ Collaboration, T.I. announced his return to music this week with the street single"I'm Back." Now his Grand Hustle affiliate B.o.B reveals another new track that may appear on the King of the South’s first album since serving time behind bars. B.o.B aka Bobby Ray has heard material from his label chief’s new project and is actually featured on one record titled “Dream Me Up” produced by Cut the Check. “Me and T.I. have a song that can potentially go on his album,” he tells Rap-Up.com. “I think it’ll definitely be a smash.” Additionally, T.I. guests on a song called “5th Dimension” from B.o.B’s debut B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. “I brought my guitar over, Tip was on the MPC, Lil C was on the keys. We just vibed out, rocked out a bit, and we came up with a pretty dope song.” Tip dropped some knowledge on his younger protégé, who’s enjoying success with his breakout single"Nothin on you." “T.I. has given me a lot of advice and a lot of critique in the stages where I really needed it the most and he’s definitely like a mentor to me,” shares B.o.B. T.I.’s seventh studio album is due August 24, while B.o.B’s Adventures arrives April 27. The latter can currently be seen on the"Steppers Laser"with Lupe Fiasco.
New Music: Usher f/ T.I. – ‘Guilty’, Usher pleads his case on “Guilty,” another collaboration with T.I. This one will appear on his oft-delayed Raymond v. Raymond album. Tip drops a Tiger Woods reference (“She ain’t caught me on no Tiger Woods shit”) as Usher rides the bubbling beat.
T.I. Working on New Album for 2010, The King is returning to claim his throne. Less than 2 month after entering a HALFWAY HOUSE, T.I. is back at work recording a new album.Jim Jonsin, who helped take Tip to No. 1 with “Whatever You Like,” will once again be involved with the project. Jonsin recently spoke with the rapper upon his release to an Atlanta correctional facility after serving seven months behind bars on weapons charges.According to the producer, the King of the South hasn’t let lockdown dampen his spirits. “It doesn’t seem like he missed a beat,” he exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “He was so upbeat, his spirits were up, and he’s excited to be out and working. He hasn’t changed, he sounded exactly like he did when I talked to him months before he went in.”
T.I. hit the ground running and is already in the studio crafting the follow-up to 2008’s multi-platinum Paper Trail. “He’s back in the studio. I sent him some music via email,” Jonsin reveals. “He can work during the week and not on the weekend, I believe. He’s definitely working on an album for this year right now.”The project’s direction is still up in the air. “That’s really going to be determined by him. We’re supposed to get together or talk more about it soon,” Jonsin shares. “But his last album was great and his sound already does really well, so I wouldn’t see him changing too much.”
