Video After The Jump
Tekashi69 has repeatedly told anybody who would listen to test his gangsta if they weren't convinced. Last night in Minnesota that appeared to happen.
The rapper was set to perform at a Super Bowl LII show when things got out of control. Video footage of the incident shows 6ix9ine backing up in a parking lot as an individual charges towards him. A crowd converges around them, appearing to get ready for a brawl before the footage goes out of focus as the cameraman seeks refuge behind a vehicle.
Several gunshots go off, but there are no reports of any injuries.
Tekashi later responded to the incident via an Instagram video.
“Yo Tekashi, why they so mad at you? ‘Cause you never gonna get touched," he says in the clip. "Why niggas want me to get touched so badly? It’ll never happen. I told you niggas. They will never touch me, man. Niggas can’t lay a finger on me, man.”
The 21-year old Brooklyn, New York-based artist, born Daniel Hernandez, has been a lightning rod since gaining fame in 2017 with the song "Gummo."
Public beefs with fellow rappers Trippie Redd and Casanova have followed, with the latter questioning his Bloods gang affiliation.
