Video After The Jump
Suge Knight is in trouble with the law... again. The former Death Row Records CEO is being accused of threatening to kill a Los Angeles marijuana dispensary employee.
According to TMZ, Suge was denied entry to the shop by an employee on Sunday (February 9). The shop owner attempted to calm things down, but Suge wasn't having it and allegedly threatened to kill the employee.
Knight's people told TMZ that this is a big misunderstanding. According to them, Suge went to the dispensary for a promotional appearance for which he would be paid in weed and cash. They insist there were no threats made, although Suge did get heated when he didn't get his payment.
The LAPD are currently investigating Suge for making felony criminal threats.
**UPDATE** February 12
TMZ has uncovered video footage that will probably end up costing Suge some time in jail. The record executive is seen arguing with an employee of the Medstar Collective weed dispensary before walking outside.
Once outside Suge is clearly seen punching a man in in the face. There's no audio in the footage so there is no way to tell if Knight actually threatened to kill the employee, but a case for assault can be made.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
