Stacy Dash has never been afraid to voice her opinion, whether it's controversial or not. This morning on Fox News' "Outnumbered" she may have outdone herself and alienated a lot of people of color in the process.
When asked about Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith's comments about not attending this year's Oscar Awards because of the lack of diversity among the nominees, Dash had a lot to say.
"I think it's ridiculous," she said. "Because we have to make up our minds, either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you are only awarded if you are black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms, its a double standard. Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. We're Americans, period. That's it"
Dash was far from done.
"What I find astounding is that we've had a President, who is black in office for the past eight years. Who gets most of his funding from the liberal elite in Hollywood. Yet there are not very many roles for people of color," Dash continued. "How can that be? And why is it just now being addressed?"
She later took to her Twitter account to give herself a pat on the back.
