Cyber thieves hacked into Sony's website and stole a number of Michael Jackson's songs the company has confirmed.
The theft occurred in April 2011 at the same time Sony's Playstation Network was hacked into exposing the personal date of more than 70 million users, but the information about Jackson's music was just revealed according to the BBC.
In 2010 Sony Music paid $250 million to the late singer's estate for a seven-year deal for the rights to his remaining songs which included recordings with will.i.am and the late Freddie Mercury.
The company won't disclose which Jackson songs were taken.
