Video After The Jump

Gary Coleman's wife Shannon Price spoke publicly for the first time since his untimely death.

Price says she made the decision to have him taken off of life support and not go through with possible surgery that could have helped because "he would've have been like Muhammad Ali."

Last time I checked Muhammad Ali, who has Parkinson's disease was still making public appearances, is able to speak and is doing humanitarian work.

Price goes on to say she doesn't want people so see her as a "bitch" because she pulled his life support.

"I don't want people to be so hard on me thinking I had to pull the plug too early," she says. "He wouldn't have made it anyway, his heart would have just given out."

So which is it, would he have been left severely brain damaged or his heart would have given out? Doesn't sound like Price is exactly sure.

While that controversy rages, Price now finds herself in a battle with Gary's parents for control of his body.

RadarOnline is reporting that while Shannon planned to bury Gary in Utah his parents are arranging to have the body brought to Illinois for a private ceremony.

Sue and Willie Coleman say Shannon has no legal right to the body since Gary divorced her in 2008 according to his former manager and family spokesman Victor Perillo.

"The arrangement we're working on now is to get Gary back to his next of kin, which is his parents,” Perillo is quoted as saying. “The funeral home has been notified, the sheriff's office, we've notified them that there is to be no communication on where the body is to go unless its dealt with legally with Gary's next of kin, and that's the way it stands right now.”
