Twitter is a wonderful tool to gather information and keep up with current events. It's also a platform where a lot of gossip and false rumors are started,
Schoolboy Q found himself in the middle of a mess he had no intention of starting or being involved in. On Tuesday, April 8, the Black Hippy emcee sent out a tweet congratulating label mate SZA on the release of her album entitled Z.
"Congrats to @justsza !!! Glad we signed Her and not....... Nvm Sza writes Her own music by tHa way," Q wrote.
Twitter immediately exploded with talk that he had dissed Def Jam artist Jhene Aiko, who has been closely affiliated with Top Dawg Entertainment for years.
Jhene responded by writing that she didn't think Q was referring to her, but that didn't stop people from talking about it.
haha , chill . The homie @ScHoolBoyQ can't be referring to me .

During a sit down on Wednesday, April 9, with Sacramento radio station KSFM, Q cleared the air.
"Why would I diss a female," Q said. "Why wouldn't I be talking about a rapper? No, I wasn't talking about Jhene. {She's] my friend, I was talking about a rapper. It was a few rappers I didn't want them to sign and they didn't sign."
That clears that up.
