Rihanna is preparing to release her seventh studio album since 2005. The first taste fans will get of the new album will come in the form of it's lead single "Diamonds," which will be premiered on the Elvis Duran and The Morning Show on Wednesday.
In an interview with Elvis at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas, Riri said the new song is "happy and hippy."
“You’re not sad or dancing. You’re happy and hippie. It’s laid-back, but it’s hopeful,” RiRi said of the new single. “It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.”
Last night the singer directed her nearly 26 million Twitter followers to the website www.rihanna7.com. She also posted a picture of the letter 'R', which is formed with various lyrics and quotes.
The Roc Nation star has already mapped out a tour in support of the new album, which will kick off March 8, 2013 in Buffalo.
