One night in November of 2012 at hotel in Miami’s South Beach, former law enforcement official Robert Williams-known to some of you as “Rick Ross” or “Rozay” was approached by 4 men who are currently serving long prison terms for being leaders in the Gangster Diciples down in Georgia and Alabama. According to the indictment that put them in Federal prison, “overt act #12” to be exact, “Smurf”, “Shake”, “Spike”, “K.K.” and other Gangster Disciples members threatened rapper R.R. with physical harm unless rapper R.R. paid the Gangster Disciples for the use of the gangs name and symbols.
You probably remember the videos of G.D.’s around the country threatening Highway Rick Ross from World Star Hip Hop, and I would imagine they were either introduced as evidence or at least used during the investigation leading to the 32 man Gangster Diciple RICO case of 2016. Ok, but riddle me this: How did the Feds know about this small incident in the lobby of a hotel? It wasn’t on social media. There was no shootout. Just a group of guys talking, as far as I know. I’m not sure about who cooperated on the GD side, and its possible that the FEDS only know about this from an informant… but remember that Rick Ross was in the midst of a 25 city tour back in 2012 and had to cancel many dates…there are tons of newspaper articles with the headline: “Rick Ross cancels concerts due to death threats from Gangster Disciples”.
