Remy Ma and Fat Joe were guests on The Wendy Williams Show Friday, March 3. The two discussed "All the Way Up," being nominated for a Grammy, not understanding how Drake won the award for Best Rap Song when "Hotline Bling" doesn't fit that category, their new album "Plata O Plomo," and Remy's husband Papoose.
Eventually the conversation shifted to Remy's beef with Nicki Minaj and her diss song "Shether."
"It wasn't that she was targeted. I hear people people 'We're waiting for her response.' That was a response. She started it," Remy explains. "And then, I feel that it's weird because she's been doing this to a lot of females. From Lil Kim, to Mariah [Carey], to Taylor Swift, to [Miley Cyrus] ... and no one says anything.
"It wasn't necessarily the little subliminal stuff on records because I don't care," Remy continued. "It was the behind the scenes things that you people would never know about. As far as trying to keep me off of the Red Carpet, trying to make sure awards don't go to me or she's not gonna be in attendance. Or trying to get people to make bad reports about my album sales, or just anything that I'm doing. To make me look less and to make her look better. I have a problem when you're trying to stop my bag ... when you're trying to stop me from taking care of my children I have a problem with that."
At that point Remy acknowledged that Meek Mill gave her some inside information about his ex and explained that she came to the show dressed in all black because it was Nicki Minaj's funeral.
The Bronx, New York native added that Nicki would no longer be a topic of conversation because "my grandmother told me never to speak ill of the dead."
