The son of Philadelphia rap artist & podcaster Gillie Da Kid was killed in a triple shooting Thursday night.
The shooting occurred on the 5800 block of Mascher Street in the Olney neighborhood in Philadelphia.
A 25-year-old man was shot once in the back & taken to the hospital by police. He was pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m.
Police identified him as Devin Spady.
A 28-year-old man & a 31-year-old man were also shot & transported to the hospital. Both were placed in stable condition.
Spady was known by the stage name YNG Cheese. He was an aspiring rapper.
Gillie Da Kid, born Nasir Fard, is a popular figure in Philly’s underground hip hop scene & was also a member of the local hip hop group Major Figgas. Fard currently hosts “Million Dollaz Worth of Game,” a weekly podcast with social media influencer & Philly native Wallo267.
No arrests were immediately made & no weapons were recovered. Police said the shooter appeared to be a man in a black mask & white jacket.
