Over the weekend millions mourned the loss of Muhammad Ali. The boxing legend died Friday of septic shock following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 74-years old.
British television host Piers Morgan used the opportunity to throw dirt on Ali's name by claiming he said more racist things about white people than Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, ever said about Muslims.
"Muhammad Ali said far more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims. #fact," Mo9rgan wrote on his Twitter account Sunday, June 5. "Why sugar-coat what Ali said or stood for? He never did that to himself, or when speaking of others. I hope people don't make me sound too perfect when I die. No coats of sugar please. Why would stating that Muhammad Ali made a lot of inflammatory, race-charged statements in his life be remotely controversial? He did."

Morgan's comments angered many of Ali's fans.
CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill, John Legend and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen, were among those that responded.
“You could test us by announcing your retirement,” Legend wrote to Morgan on Twitter.
.@piersmorgan you could test us by announcing your retirement.

Teigen said Morgan is an internet troll who doesn't have a career to retire from.
@johnlegend from what? trolling isn't a job (I've tried)
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) June 5, 2016
“Maybe I should take up a proper job, like modelling?” Morgan replied.

“It keeps me nice and not-racist so sure, give it a go,“ she Teigen shot back.
Morgan responded by insisting he wasn't a racist.
I'm not racist either, so that makes two of us. > RT @chrissyteigen: @piersmorgan it keeps me nice and not-racist so sure, give it a go.

Chris Brown also weighed in with his opinion on the Good Morning Britain host's comments.
"Irrelevant BROADCATING!!!!!! IS ALI RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT????? I CAN'T WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO WAKE THE FUCK UP," Chris wrote. "What do I know???? I'm just a 'BAD BOY R&B' singer. WE HAVE NO LEADER OR EVEN ANYONE WITH A BACKBONE TO HELP! IT'S ABOUT A HANDFUL OF BLACKS THEY USE AS PUPPETS TODAY. YALL KNOW WHO THEY ARE! SPEAK LOGICALLY AND FROM THE HEART AS WELL OR JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!"
