Bed-Stuy emcee Papoose stopped by the Vlad offices to discuss his upcoming sophomore LP, "You Can't Stop Destiny," out July 17. "Here's your opportunity to support some real s***," he tells his fans. "Go out there and buy that, man. I got some heat on there."
The "Law Library" lyricist has dropped over two dozen mixtapes throughout the years, but this time around he says he's ready to give us the follow-up to his debut studio album, "The Nacirema Dream," released back in 2013. "With the album you gotta take your time with it, format it, structure it, get it mixed [and] mastered. You know, so it's more preserved," Papoose explains.
With mentioning some legendary producers who worked with him on the LP, Papoose promises to deliver some "authentic hip-hop" while still maintaining an "up to date" sound with a contribution from Harlem's-own Ron Browz. He also indicates that Troy Ave and his wife Remy Ma (along with others) will appear on "You Can't Stop Destiny" as well.
Press play to hear Papoose spit an effortless freestyle before he heads out, and find out who else we can expect on his second album.
"You Can't Stop Destiny" is now available for preorder on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/You-Cant-Stop-D...) and iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/).
