Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash is without a car and all of his vintage vinyl records, after a parking lot attendant handed over the key to his custom made 2014 white Dodge Charger to a thief without asking for identification or a ticket.
TMZ reports that the valet offered an apology and told Flash that the thief looked like him, except for his shoes.
"I walk over to the attendant and I hand him my ticket. His eyes get big and he says to me, 'Oh my God, I've given your car to somebody else by accident,'" Flash told TMZ.
Flash said he initially thought he was being punk'd, before realizing the attendant was being serious.
"About five minutes went by and I say to him, 'Where's my car?' He looks at me and says, 'I'm so sorry, I've given your car to somebody that looks like you.'"
Flash is considering filing a lawsuit against the parking company.
The DJ is most well known for being in the group Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. In the early 80's they released the classic song, "The Message."
In 2007 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
