On Tuesday, February 23, UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos had to pull out of his March 5th fight against Conor McGregor.

The organization moved quickly to find a replacement. Nate Diaz stepped up with 10 days notice to take the fight, which will be a non-title bout held at 170 lbs.

McGregor called Diaz a "cholo gangsta from the hood" and mocked his side job as a kid's jiu-jitsu coach.

"He makes gun signs with the right hand and animal balloons with the left hand," McGregor said.

Diaz responded by accusing his opponent and every other fighter in the UFC of being on steroids.

"Everybody's on steroids ... the whole UFC. You, dos Anjos, [Anthony] Pettis," Diaz told McGregor.

The Irishman fired back by reminding Nate that his teammates Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez had both been suspended for failed drugged tests in the past.

"You're on steroids," Nate repeated a second time.

McGregor vehemently denied the accusation. For the record he has never failed a drug test.

Meanwhile, dos Anjos tweeted out a photo of his broken foot and wondered why McGregor picked Diaz, who might not be in tip top shape for the fight instead of Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, who has had two fights in the last three months and is guaranteed to be in shape.

The same thing happened last year when Jose Aldo pulled out of a fight. McGregor instead fought and easily defeated Chad Mendez, who stepped in on short notice.

To The Notorious One's credit he eventually did eventually fight Aldo, once the Brazilian healed from a rib injury. He knocked him out in 13 seconds to win the Featherweight Championship at UFC 194.

We'll find out what happens when Diaz and McGregor meet on March 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, should be a great show.

Holly Holm vs. Meisha Tate is the co-main event.
