It's been nearly three years and one nasty divorce from ex-wife Kelis since Nas dropped his last album. That's about to change as he preps his new disc 'Life Is Good.'
The Queens MC talked to MTV's Sucker Free about his ninth studio album.
"I just think people need to realize the blessings and stop worrying about the dark," he said, explaining why he picked the album title. "I'm here to bring light. Bring light on my situation. Going through whatever I go through, and put that in my music. The end result is life is good. It's crazy how a phrase like that can change somebody's mentality."
The rapper says he's taken all of the lessons learned during the trials and tribulations of the last couple of years and put it into this album.
"This album is a piece of my blood, flesh and bones. This album right here - this is the one," he said. "The first joint vis called 'Nasty.' So that's what we're giving the world right now."
