In April of this year 2 of Lil Wayne's tour buses were shot at following the rapper's performance in Atlanta. There were no injuries, but police arrested Jimmy Winfrey a.k.a. PeeWee Roscoe, a Rich Gang affiliate, for the shooting.
Two months later we reported that an indictment named Winfrey, Birdman and Young Thug as co-conspirators in a plot to kill Wayne.
Birdman denies plot to kill Lil Wayne at 8:11 mark
In a July interview with Power 105.1 radio personality Angie Martinez, Birdman denied the claims, saying that he still considers Weezy his son despite their current contract dispute.
"It's like the craziest shit I ever heard in my life," Baby said at the time. "I'm passionate about my family, my kids and my life. Nothing means more to me."
In a new twist, TMZ reports that Winfrey has now flipped on Birdman, and is implicating him in the shooting.
"[Birdman's] financial dispute with [Lil Wayne] is what ultimately led to the shooting," Winfrey states in court documents."[Birdman] should be held liable as a party to the crime."
