Veteran emcee Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian weighs in on the DJ Mister Cee situation regarding his solicitation of sex from transsexuals.
"To me this really speaks to the sickness of mind," Jamar told Vlad TV. "This man had a lot to lose as far as his livelihood. I'm sure they told him, 'If you get caught doing this sh*t again you're outta here.' Why would you still do it unless it's like a sickness. Like an addiction. That's when you do things even though you know it can harm you and you still do it. That's the definition of addiction, or crazy, or some sort of mental illness. That's not Hip Hop."
Jamar was grateful to Mister Cee for always playing Brand Nubian's music, but said he couldn't give him a pass.
Kanye West didn't escape Jamar's wrath. In February he put out a diss song titled "Lift Your Skirt Up" aimed at Yeezy. During this latest interview he said that West is making a conscious decision to try and steer hip hop in that direction.
