After Charlie Sheen announced his HIV status during his interview on the Today Show, he surprisingly gained an enormous amount of sympathy. In an interview with DJ Vlad, Lord Jamar said that he believed a Black man would have been perceived differently, "If it was a Black man that did this. He'd be a monster right now."
