Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy has been arrested in Utah on drug & weapons charges, booking records show.
The chart-topping rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested by the Cache County Sheriff's Office & booked into the Cache County Jail on Tuesday evening on 20 counts each of procuring or attempting to procure a drug/prescription, forgery, identity fraud & a count each of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, possession of controlled substances and pattern of unlawful activity.
According to Utah code, a pattern of unlawful activity consists of "engaging in conduct which constitutes the commission of at least three episodes of unlawful activity, which episodes are not isolated, but have the same or similar purposes, results, participants, victims, or methods of commission, or otherwise are interrelated by distinguishing characteristics."
Gaulden's attorney, James Manasseh, said he was still learning details about the arrest & could not immediately comment. The Sheriff's Office said it does not release additional information regarding inmate arrests.
Gaulden was living in his compound in Utah on house arrest while awaiting trial in Baton Rouge. The 24-year-old currently faces a felony gun charge in a federal weapons case. Another felony gun charge was dismissed by a judge in March.
His case stems from a 2020 music video recorded near an abandoned lot on Chippewa Street. Baton Rouge police swarmed the video shoot & rounded up Gaulden & 15 others after officers received a tip about people with guns.
He's set to be tried starting July 15.

This the horrific moment a woman flew into a jealous rage & poured a pot of boiling water on her 14-year-old niece at their home in Brazil.
The girl, whose name has been withheld because she is a minor, could be seen sitting on the floor when her 42-year-old aunt approached her from behind & dumped hot water on Thursday at the home in the city of Brasilia.
The woman, whose name has not been released, then hit her niece over the head with the pot & punched & slapped her before the video came to an end.
Separate footage showed the teenager sitting on a bed while her aunt accused of her having sex with her husband.
The woman then kicked the girl out of her residence & took her to the home of relatives in the town of Cidade Oeste.
She declined to seek medical assistance for the girl, who suffered burns to 13 percent of the front & back of her body.
The teenager initially refused medical treatment & was later taken to the hospital.
'They didn't want to take her to the hospital, they said she shouldn't take her,' the cousin said. 'She's not eating properly, she's not talking either. She wants to keep quiet.'
The child was still hospitalized in the ICU and in stable condition as of Friday. Her aunt remained on the run.
The girl's mother told TV Globo that she sent her daughter & 16-year-old son to live with her aunt because she wanted to keep them out of trouble in their home city of Nova Xavantina.
'I trusted her & she almost took my daughter's life,' she said.
'It seems like I did the wrong thing, because I ended up sending my daughter to the wolf's den … She's been through so many things, so many traumas & already carries such traumatic baggage.'

PARIS (AP) — World donors pledged more than $2.1 billion in humanitarian aid for Sudan after a yearlong war that has pushed its population to the brink of famine, French President Emmanuel Macron said Monday.
Top diplomatic envoys, U.N. officials & aid agencies urged Sudan’s warring parties to stop attacks on civilians & allow access for humanitarian aid & called for immediate international mediation efforts toward peace. Members of Sudan’s civil society took part in the Paris meeting.
Sudan descended into conflict in April last year when simmering tensions between the military & the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces exploded into open fighting.
“Much of the world has been focused on the crisis that was generated in the Middle East. As concerning as those developments are, other dramatic life-and-death emergencies are being pushed into the shadows,” U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres. “The world is forgetting about the people of Sudan.”
The U.N’s humanitarian campaign needs some $2.7 billion this year to get food, health care & other supplies to 24 million people in Sudan. So far, funders have given only $145 million, about 5%, according to the U.N’s humanitarian office, known as OCHA.
Monday’s conference among 58 countries also called on regional powers to stop funding Sudan’s war.
More than 14,000 people have been killed at least 33,000 have been wounded in the yearlong war. Nearly 9 million people have been forced to flee their homes either to safer areas inside Sudan or to neighboring countries, according to the U.N. Hunger, sexual violence against women and girls and continued displacement are rampant & much of the country’s infrastructure — homes, hospitals & schools — has been reduced to rubble. “We cannot let this nightmare slide from view,” Guterres said.
