Lil Wayne's condition has been upgraded. Doctors determined his condition had stabilized and have now moved him to a regular room at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles

TMZ reports that Weezy is now walking around on his own flanked by bodyguards and eating on his own. His release could be coming soon.

Birdman called into Hot 97 earlier and talked to Angie Martinez and Wayne's current condition and what may have caused him to become ill.

Baby said Wayne has been in the hospital since last Tuesday. He added that the Young Money CEO only had one seizure and that stories to the contrary were false.

At this point doctors don't know what is causing Wayne to have these seizures that began last October, but he suspects they could be from the rapper overworking himself.

"Honestly, to me it's his work ethic. How he put in, and what he believe in, and how hard he works. How much dedication he gives to music, and his fans, and what he's trying to accomplish in life. It had nothing to do with drugs," Birdman told Angie. "It's how he works. He works around the clock. He's just a hard grinder for this music, but it wasn't nothing about no drugs. He needs to get some rest, relax and take it one day at a time. He'll be back just as normal as anybody else. He just needs to relax for a minute."

Lil Wayne has been released from L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital almost a week after suffering a seizure according to TMZ.

Doctors determined the rapper had recovered enough to be sent home and last night signed off on his release.

Wayne will continue to rest until he's back up to full speed. We wish him the best and hope he remains in good health.
