Lil Kim was a guest on MTV's RapFix Live Wednesday [March 7]. The Queen Bee touched on a lot of subjects including a big upcoming collaboration, possibly working with 50 Cent, Diddy and more.
On her relationship with Diddy:
Puff never surprises me. I don't always agree with everything he does. I don't always like him. I don't necessarily think he's a really good person all the time. But the Puff that I know can be very loving, very caring, very understanding at times.
Puffy taught me a lot on the business side in this industry, without even knowing he was teaching me. One of the most important things I think I learned from Puff is...well he taught me how to barter in this industry. And he taught me how to do it professionally, even when you were told no for something else. And he taught me how to do that effectively. I made a couple of mistakes, but I also got it right a few times. He taught me how to do it even when you didn't like somebody.
On possible future collaboration with 50 Cent:
You know that's my boy. Him and Floyd Mayweather are good friends of mine. And you know I spent New Year's [Eve] and Christmas with both of them. 50's not really involved in my project, but I believe maybe in the future he will be. He's doing his own things right now and I'm sure we will also work together in the future. We been in the studio trying to come up with the right song. I think I have one for him and I played it for him when we were in Vegas. He liked it. He was like 'yeah I wanna do that one.' So I'm hoping that we can get that one done because we have been searching for that song for the longest.
