Lighta Soundboy just dropped a nice musical composition. A Reggae flavored single titled "Mama Africa (Soundsytem)." This is the second single released from Lighta Soundboy's debut EP "Almighty is Jah Jah," and continues to show the raw talent included in its package.
Lighta Soundboy rides the rhythm but interlaces his music with conscious material from audio to visual. The knowledge with in the lines of Mama Africa (Soundsystem) will plant the seed for growth before the listener realizes the soil of their mind is ready for harvest. The video was mainly shot at the Nubian Pyramids in Sudan, around Meroe, the former kingdom of Kush, from where the 25th dynasty of kemet (popularly known as ancient egypt) reigned.
The title of the song has been chosen not only to cheer Africa in genral, the African diaspora and beyond, but also as a shoutout to Mama Africa Soundsystem, which was founded by Lighta's friends from the Gambia. Check out the video for "Mama Africa (Soundsystem)" Today:
