Detroit -- Eminem and Jay-Z's "Home and Home" tour is now closed for business, until the concerts land at New York's Yankee Stadium on Sept. 13-14. Friday's massive concert -- promoter Live Nation reported an attendance of 45,000-plus, 3,000 more than attended Thursday's concert -- wrapped with Eminem performing "Lose Yourself." Again, Em wholeheartedly thanked Detroit for standing by him over the years during the introduction to "Not Afraid," sounding choked up in the process. Friday's run of guest stars was the same as Thursday's, save for Drake, who did not join Eminem during a midshow run-through of "Forever." Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Trick Trick and Young Jeezy all reprised their roles from Thursday night. Watching Jay-Z from an elevated platform in the center of the field was Lady Gaga, wearing a silver micro-skirt that blew up in the wind and sporting a long silver wig similar to the one she wore on her recent Vanity Fair cover. Gaga swayed to the rhythms of Jay's set, bobbed her head along to "Empire State of Mind" and held a diamond sign in the air during the bombastic "U Don't Know." Gaga, who is in town for her concert Saturday at the Palace of Auburn Hills, was surrounded by several bodyguard types and sipped from a seemingly bottomless plastic cup. She was visible to the thousands of fans on the field below, many of whom pointed and gawked when she made her way to her seat before Jay's set. She stayed for around an hour and ducked out to the backstage with around 20 minutes to go in Jay's set. Also spotted in the area was "Lost" star Dominic Monaghan. Rylie McGaharan, 15, of Toledo didn't come to Thursday's show but heard all about it. "I hope it's even better tonight," she said outside the ballpark while waiting for the gates to open. She hoped Rihanna would show up to perform "Love the Way You Lie" with Eminem. And why would Friday be better? "Eminem gets better and better every night," she said. On Friday, 15 minutes into his opening set, opener B.o.B addressed the audience. "How's it feel to be a part of history tonight, Detroit?" Source: Detroit News twitter-5d.gif
