Video After The Jump

Killer Mike has become one of hip-hop's most prominent political speakers in recent memory with his aid in the Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign. At times, he tends to overlook certain news topics since "there's bigger sh** to worry about than how Trump feels about the KKK." Telling DJ Vlad he doesn't think about Donald Trump whatsoever, Killer Mike simply explained there's "parts of the stage show that I refuse to pay attention to - that's one of them."

Moving on, Killer Mike - born Michael Render - shared his personal experiences with police brutality, and how he realized "the trap" wasn't for him after getting assaulted by the Atlanta Police Department's now-disbanded Red Dog unit. "Selling drugs is not somebody sitting in a bando with cocaine and f**king guns," Killer Mike made clear. According to him, young men who sell drugs today are "being used for cheap labor," and at best make upwards of $200 a week. "The trap is literally dead," he added while discussing the origin of the term.

Killer Mike also revealed he believes in the right of the KKK, among other things. "Now I also believe if you try to interfere with my right, I have a right to kill you. Dead. That's simply it," he offered while nodding his head. "What's dangerous to me is not a racist wearing Air Jordans and a white robe. What's scary to me is racists who secretly hide their racism behind laws and policies and wear black robes."
