SOHH caught up with G-Unit rapper Kidd Kidd recently to get his opinion on the most underrated MC in the game. Kidd didn't have to think hard about his choice. The New Orleans native picked someone close to home who was on the verge of doing big things before being cut down in his prime.
I'mma say ... hmm.. now I'm from New Orleans, so I gotta go with Soulja Slim.
Rest in peace, Soulja Slim. He was the realest rapper. I live in the same city he lived in and I see what he was about, and not on no rap sh*t
I'mma go with Soulja Slim and I'mma say why: Because I feel like he didn't get a chance to make his mark on the game. He didn't get a chance to show everybody, meaning the world, the same stuff that we know down here in New Orleans. I feel like if he woulda did that, he would really changed the game.
Being from New Orleans, now it's all on me to do that. Now they look at me like, "You a Soulja Slim" and that just come from being a real dude and taking that to the rap game. So Soulja Slim, definitely. Soulja Slim all day for most underrated.
