In January 2014 singer Kesha entered rehab for anorexia and bulimia. She is now blaming producer Dr. Luke's abuse as the reason she needed help, according to TMZ.
Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, reportedly tortured the singer he signed at age 18, by calling her "a fat fucking refrigerator." He also allegedly told her she had no talent, wasn't pretty and was "lucky" to have him.
This information is part of a lawsuit Kesha, now 27, has filed against Luke.
In addition to the verbal abuse, the singer claims Luke repeatedly physically and sexually assaulted her for nearly a decade. The sexual advances would happen after the producer plied Kesha, real name Kesha Sebert, with drugs and alcohol.
During once incident Luke allegedly gave Kesha liquor and "sober pills." The next thing she remembers is waking up sick, sore and naked in Luke's bed with no memory of how she got there.
Kesha's attorney, Mark Geragos issued a statement via TMZ:
"This lawsuit is a wholehearted effort by Kesha to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke. The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Kesha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time."
.
Kesha wants a judge to terminate her contract with Luke. The singer is best known for the 2010 hit song "Tik Tok."
