Kendrick Lamar put a lot of rappers on notice when he dropped what could be the verse of the year on Big Sean's song "Control."
The Compton rapper challenged several artists by name, including Drake, when he said he would lyrically "murder you n*ggas."
Drake responded to the verse in several interviews.
"It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me," Drake told Billboard. "That's all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic."
Kendrick has once again jabbed Drizzy with a verse during Top Dawg Entertainment's 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.
Incorporating the title of Drake's Nothing Was the Same album into his lyrics, K. Dot lets off a round aimed at the Toronto emcee.
“Yeah…and nothing’s been the same since they dropped “Control”/ And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his Pajama Clothes/ Ha-ha jokes on you, high-five…..I’m bulletproof/ Your sh*ts a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake," Kendrick raps.
Check out a snippet of the verse below and tune in to BET on Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. EST to watch the entire cypher.
