Kendrick Lamar is ready to make his first appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend as the musical guest. The Compton rapper's album good kid, m.A.A.d city has been receiving rave reviews and K-Dot is ready to expand his audience.
"SNL that's a whole 'nother world. Especially for a new artist in hip hop. I'm blessed. I'm fortunate to not only have the urban culture to be looking at my music, but just everybody around the world to feel the same way about it. And I just really appreciate everybody taking the time out to listen," he told MTV.
The Top Dawg Entertainment is hoping NBC execs give him a shot to show off his acting ability during his appearance on the show.
"Yeah, I'll do a skit. We clown around in the studio all day; I can do it on TV in front of the camera," Kendrick said: "Put me in one of those skits 'SNL'! Wassup?"
