Video After The Jump

A music video shoot for a local New Orleans rapper ended with the arrests of eight people.

Danny Rogers aka Lil Dee God's Gift, and seven of his associates were filming a fake robbery at a local convenience store for a music video. The men decided to use real, unloaded guns to make the video look more authentic. A passerby saw what was going on and called 911, thinking it was an actual robbery.

Police soon arrived on the scene, arresting everyone involved.

Rogers, Raassan Holmes, 30, Frank Cheffen, 25, Terrell Hogan, 22, Chance Gomez, 23, Yonael Santana, 19, Timothy Kelly, 21, and Nidal Jamhour, 31, were charged with criminal mischief according to the Times Picayune.

Holmes, Cheffen and Hogan were also charged with illegal carrying of a concealed weapon.

"It was a plot in the story line for a positive message at the end which we didn't get a chance to finish to show our message," Lil Dee said.

Sheriff Newell Normand said the whole thing was a bad idea that could have cost people their lives.

"This is not smart," he said. "Had they had the guns out and our officers come upon them the likelihood is we would have multiple people dead."

Lil Dee says he's learned his lesson the hard way.
