During an interesting conversation with Big Boy TV, Kanye West revealed that the name of his forthcoming album might be changing again. He did say that it's a gospel album, but not in the traditional sense.
"When I was sitting in the studio with Kirk Franklin and we were just going through it I said 'This is a gospel album with a whole lof of cursing on it. But it's still a gospel album. The gospel according to 'Ye.' It's not exactly what happened in the Bible, but it's a story of this idea of Mary Magdalene becoming Mary."
He goes on to talk about his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, God and his late mother, Donda West, helping to guide the album's direction, the beef with Wiz Khalifa starting because he saw "KK" on the rapper's timeline. He felt like he had to defend his family because he thought it was a reference to his wife when in reality it was about Wiz's strain of marijuana.
He also said he didn't mean the comments about Wiz and Amber Rose's son Sebastian in a negative way
